Repstance version 6.0.0018

Version 6 adds two sources and one target to Repstance Advanced Edition. It is available on AWS Marketplace and Microsoft Marketplace for both editions.

New in Repstance Advanced Edition

  • PostgreSQL as a Source, including Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL (PostgreSQL 12 or later). The Capture Process reads the changes through logical replication. See PostgreSQL as Source.
  • MySQL as a Source (MySQL 8.0 or later, also on Amazon RDS). The Capture Process reads the binary log. See MySQL as Source.
  • Apache Kafka as a Target. The changes are published as JSON messages, one topic for every table, with the Initial Load, the changes of the structure, TLS and SASL logins. See Replication to Apache Kafka.

All editions

  • Security: fixes CVE-2026-111497 (Brotli).
  • Performance: faster apply and faster Oracle capture.
  • Minor bug fixes.
  • On AWS Marketplace the large instance types are no longer offered.

PostgreSQL and MySQL as Sources and Apache Kafka as a Target need Repstance Advanced Edition. The two editions are compared on Current feature set.
